“BASIC
FUNCTION: The Surveillance Agent provides surveillance coverage for the
entire Casino facility. The Surveillance Agent protects the assets and
possesses knowledge of clandestine surveillance operations. All duties
are to be performed within the guidelines of the Casino policies and
procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.”
Responsibilities for this Position
Maintains surveillance on designated areas and activities.
Records any irregular gaming activity.
Provides
closed circuit television and personal observations of all departments
and applicable job functions to assure that all company policies and
procedures are met with compliance.
Makes
suggestions to appropriate supervisor/manager regarding any suggestions
for improving guest service, department or job efficiency.
Reports
to appropriate management any items requiring maintenance or repair.
Pays particular attention to safety related matter and reports such
items immediately. If dangerous, takes precautions to prevent injury
until help arrives to respond to the situation.
Completes preventative maintenance and cleaning schedules.
Completes assigned goals and training assignments.
Maintains
a good working relationship with personnel having use of the facility,
such as management, security department, Indiana Gaming Commission and
Indiana State Police.
Avoids becoming too familiar with casino personnel to the detriment of surveillance duties.
Maintains a low profile in all areas of the property.
Possesses knowledge of policies and procedures from all Casino departments.
Always conducts self in a manner that reflects credit on the company and encourages other to do the same.
Must be able to work well with Co-Workers/Supervisor/ Managers.
Maintains proper paperwork and log sheets as directed by policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
Acts in accordance with established departmental procedures to assure the safeguard of all assets, equipment and property.
Operates all surveillance equipment.
Notes
the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory,
departmental and company policies, including those regarding
confidentially.
Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.
Requirements
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have good observation skills.
Must have good writing and spelling skills.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age upon employment.
Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
Must work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation, drug screening, and license application.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must have ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Technical Requirements:
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Requires strong organizational skills.
Must be able to work independently.
Must meet grooming standards.
