Energy Technician
Energy Services Group is interviewing for full-time positions out of our Pasadena, MD office.
The
position involves climbing ladders and the ability to move through
tight attic spaces, basements and crawlspaces with up to 50 pounds of
equipment. No previous experience in home energy weatherization is
necessary as this is a relatively new field of work. However, general
carpentry skills and an understanding of wood-frame construction would
be helpful.
Candidates
should be willing to learn new skills that focus on making new and
existing homes more energy efficient, work well with others as a team,
have the ability to follow written directions and are required to have a
valid driver’s license as company vehicles are used to get to and from
job sites in the greater Baltimore area. Bilingual candidates are
preferred but all qualified candidates will be considered.
Candidates
who possess a strong interest in science, technology, engineering, math
and are highly motivated will have the ability to advance into
credentialed, higher pay positions.

Home Energy Auditor

position involves performing energy audits on new and existing homes,
with the ability to climb ladders and move through tight attic spaces,
basements and crawlspaces with up to 50 pounds of equipment.
Candidates
should be willing to learn new skills that focus on making new and
existing homes more energy efficient and are required to have a valid
driver’s license as company vehicles are used to get to and from job
sites in the greater Baltimore area. Candidates should hold credentials
through the Building Performance Institute, Residential Energy Services
Network, or have studied for these credentials and be able to pass the
final exam. Candidates need to be self-motivated, work independently and
have the ability to work with computer auditing software to complete
reports.
